I commissioned the lovely MissDream (missdreamsubs) to do translations of the lyrics for MOON PRIDE and Gekkou, the OP and ED for Sailor Moon Crystal. Here’s the lyrics for MOON PRIDE, including the Japanese, Romaji, and English. I’ll put the Japanese and Romaji under the cut for those interested! Also, check out this post for the lyrics for MOON PRIDE!
I want to be your strength
Tears roll down my face, eyes burning red
Violent like lightning, someone cries out for love
No matter how dark it is, you’re not alone you know?
The moonlight is shining on us
Ahh girls don’t give away your self-respect
Don’t throw away your destiny for a prince, fight for yourself
Shiny make-up Shine on Collecting the starry sky
We aren’t weak girls who need men’s protection
Even if you’re in a flood of sadness, or in the flames of hatred
Swear upon a love as dazzling as lightning
You’re not alone, even if you’re by yourself, you know?
We’re connected by Moonlight
Ah Girls have an invincible weapon
It’s the strength to accept everyone, to comfort the weak
Shiny Make-Up Glittering Nestled in the starry sky
The bonds of time travel have given me strength
Even when you want to cry and you’re lonely, and you miss them
That’s when you’re running towards love’s awakening
No matter how many times we’re reborn in this universe
I will love you
Shiny Make Up Flying on Wings Towards the starry sky
Even though there’s sin in this world I believe in the future
Shiny Make-up I’ll fight clad in the starry sky
A new legend begins from here
La La Pretty Guardian SAILOR MOON
what to wear when…in a mongolian fairy tale.
mongolia lies on a high plateau between russia and china. the raw beauty of its landscape is breathtaking. a proximity to animals and the environment has led to a rich heritage of songs and tales related to nature…the most ancient [mongolian fairy tales] date back to the twelfth century and are concerned with human relations with the natural world. others use the whimsicality of animals to describe people’s struggles to find a good and decent life. still others frankly applaud cunning and the ability to survive an unfriendly competition.

William Shakespeare’s Timon Athens performed by the Los Angeles Drama Club / Shakespeare in the City. These are mostly underprivileged kids from an underfunded and underserved who have been given an opportunity to break out of their hard situations.

I was moved seeing these young children performing Shakespeare with such animation, enthusiasm, and skill.
